Aadhi raat ke sapne shayad jhote thay
Ya phir pehli baar sitare totey thay
Jis din sheher se bhaag ke sheher mein pohnchi thi
bhaag bhari ke bhaag usi din phoote thay
Mazhab ki bunyaad pe kya taqseem hui
Hamsayon ne hamsaye hi loote thay
Shokh nazar ki chutki ne nuqsaan kiya
Haathon se chaey ke bertan tote thay
Oorrh ke phirti thi jo naina saree raat
Us resham ki shaal pe yaad ke boote thay......
